Lindsey Vignaud Marshall
Lindsey Vignaud Marshall is one of the first female Associates hired at
The Cox Pradia Law Firm, P.L.L.C. in Houston, Texas. As a newly licensed
practitioner, Ms. Marshall has accumulated roughly three years of extensive
litigation experience in
Personal Injury and Employment Discrimination Law. She has sat as the second chair attorney
on cases that have cumulatively settled substantial recoveries within
the first five (5) months of her practicing. Additionally, she has worked
on extremely complex discrimination cases, representing over seven (7)
Plaintiffs in one matter.
As part of her daily work load, Ms. Marshall manages complex personal injury
and employment discrimination litigation cases. The legal areas of her
practice range from Premise Liability,
Slip and Fall,
Medical Malpractice, Intentional Tort, Negligence, Sexual Harassment, Wrongful Termination/Retaliation,
Gender Discrimination, On the Job Injuries, Fourth Amendment Constitutional
Violations and more.
Within the litigation realm, Ms. Marshall’s primary focus is to always
to protect her clients. She has observed that the most effective and efficient
way of doing this is to be as proactively involved in the discovery stage
of litigation, where the clients privacy becomes most vulnerable. Ms.
Marshall understands that in order to ensure the best settlement or trial
verdicts, require the best, and most tedious preparation during discovery.
That is why Ms. Marshall focuses so intently on discovery, carving a substantive
niche for herself in procedural law and within the discovery stages of
litigation with regard to issues concerning discovery requests; what is
discoverable; how to handle discovery issues including deficiency responses,
supplementation; and most importantly, drafting requests that will be
most helpful for the client’s case.
Additionally, Ms. Marshall has distinguished herself as a key team player
in finding ways to assist in the law firm’s growth and expansion.
Her ability to adapt quickly; respond appropriately; take on great responsibility;
manage hard deadlines; and most importantly, enjoy the work while remaining
calm under highly pressurized situations has not been unnoticed. Ms. Marshall
has created, and implemented into the firm structured “focus”
meetings on specific needs of the litigation cases, as necessary. As a
second component of the law firm’s growth and expansion, Ms. Marshall
has also been instrumental in the firm’s community out-reach efforts.
A New Orleans native that landed in Houston by way of Hurricane Katrina,
Ms. Marshall received her Bachelor’ Degree in Economics with a Minor
in International Business from the University of Houston and her Law School
Juris Doctorate from Thurgood Marshall School of Law. She also attended
La Universidad de Granada in Granada, Spain, where she studied Spanish,
and La Universidad de San Juan in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where she studied
Immigration Family Law, Non-Immigration Employment Law, and Before the
Court Immigration Law.
